How
eQ!TM Works
Most modern software architectures contain components in these three major
categories: Model, View, and Controller. The Model encompasses the key business rules and data. The View is a means to visualize this data, and the Controller
controls the interactions between the Model and View. Software Frameworks mostly address the View and Controller categories. Views are the least reusable because
they are very specific to a delivery technology, such as Swing, JSP/Servlet, or Struts. The eQ Foundation primarily addresses the Model portion of the
architecture, and some of the Controller portions, such as Persistence, that are portable between various delivery technologies. This is what allows eQ to work
across multiple delivery technologies and Frameworks.
